Frequently Asked Questions
What types of fiber do OptiCore patch cables use?
Our patch cables are single-mode cables according to G.657.A1 with LC/APC–LC/APC connectors. They are suitable for FTTH connections, ODF systems, server rooms, and structured building cabling.
Are the EPFU/Fiber Units compatible with common microducts?
Yes. The Fiber Units comply with standard market practices and fit the outer diameters of common microducts. This makes them suitable for blowing in, pulling in, and retrofitting.
Are the microtube connectors suitable for compressed air/blow-in processes?
Yes. The connectors ensure a stable mechanical hold and a reliable seal, suitable for blowing and pulling methods – depending on the pipe type and dimension.
How do fiber optic continuity testers work?
The laser testers feed visible light into the fiber. This allows breaks, kinks, or leaks to be quickly located – ideal for troubleshooting and installation inspection.
Can I request custom quantities or lengths?
Yes, of course. For larger quantities, project-related requirements, or special lengths, we will gladly create a customized offer for you via the contact form.
How long are the delivery times?
Typically 2–4 working days – depending on stock levels and shipping method. For larger quantities, arrangements will be made individually.
